Qasim Hassan

A native Londoner, Qas has been an NHS peer support worker for some years now at a local community addictions service, using his lived experience of mental health/substance challenges to help others that are still in the earlier stages of their recovery journey.

In this time, he has contributed to a number of exciting ventures which include the creation of a rolling 12-week Recovery Day Programme (essentially community rehab), a care package donation project to help get food & toiletries to those in need, a number of innovative studies including, psilocybin treatment for opiate use clients, ketamine assisted therapy for alcohol use disorder & baclofen for those being prescribed methadone.
